HBO Sex Lives of College Girls

Using the YouTube platform, HBO Max asked us to promote the show ‘Sex Lives of College Girls’ in a compelling way to drive awareness & consideration, with a focus on reaching 3 primary audiences. The three main goals are: to re-establish HBO Max as the premium destination for boundary-pushing comedy, diversify the HBO Max audience (especially with younger, female audiences), and drive awareness and intent-to-view. Here we created 3 videos with these strategies. I was responsible for developing the keyframes and graphics direction for this campaign.

Dos & Don'ts: College girls edition First-year orientation, but bite-sized. With the semester in full swing, our characters are starting to learn what to do and definitely what not to do in college. Let's take their learnings and show our viewers the ropes. Here, we’re going to use fun editing, cool supers and animated emojis/stickers to create a quick and dynamic guide so that the viewers can start to prep for their college adventure.

Take it from a college girl Discover Essex’s best... features. Let’s uncover some of our viewers’ most burning questions about college by creating a witty and humorous twist on what they commonly search for. In a humorous and unexpected way, we’ll ask questions using text messages as our guide - except we won’t give you the blasé answers you’d expect. We’ll dive deeper behind the scenes of Essex campus where we’ll surprise viewers with what our characters really think about college (risqué or not).

Overshare meter Sharing is caring, but when is enough, enough? Some of our favorite characters have a hard time opening up. Others... don’t know when to stop. In this execution, we’re going to dial up the cringe meter when they go too far. We’ll show situations where the main characters go from opening up to sharing too much information with a meter oscillating between the two. The meter will have different emojis to represent the different levels of cringe.
