Examples of entertainment projects for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Universal.

Netflix Titles

I designed the box art for three Netflix Arabic titles. The challenge for this assignment was there was no context given if the shows were a drama, comedy or romance piece. There was no photography, no key art, and no descriptions for these shows prior to designing this. Having an understanding of the language and culture helped me with the design for these shows. Below are the trailers along with my design solutions.

The Palace

The Palace is the Downton Abbey show of the Middle East. It’s an Egyptian historical drama about Queen Khoshyar, the mother of Khedive of Egypt and Sudan, also known as Ismail Pasha and Ismail the Magnificent, who ruled in the 19th century. Watch the show’s trailer below.

Omar

Under Control

Under Control is about a married woman with a haunted past: she used to be a drug addict. She keeps her constant struggle hidden from her current husband. Click on the image to enlarge.

Amazon Prime Video

I was honored to take part in designing for Prime Video’s first original series BETAS and Alpha House while I was at Ignition Creative. Social media for entertainment branding was still considered a new trend.

Betas

BETAS is a show about a group of young people starting an app in Silicon Valley. I was in charge of creating the social media branding and illustrations for Amazon Prime Video show: BETAS.

Alpha House

Alpha House is a an American political satire. The series is inspired by several actual Democratic legislators who share a row house in D.C. I helped with the social media branding. Check out the trailer below.

47 Ronin

47 Ronin is a 2013 American 3D period fantasy action-adventure film depicting a fictionalized account of the forty-seven rōnin, a real-life group of masterless samurai in 18th-century Japan who avenged the death of their lord in the style of Chūshingura. Starring Keanu Reeves and Hiroyuki Sanada. Below is the trailer for the movie.
